Techniques the surgeon may recommend
FUE
Individual follicles are taken from the back of the head and placed in the thinning area. The most common method.
DHI
Follicles are implanted with a pen-like tool, often without shaving the whole head. Suited to smaller or denser areas.
Sapphire FUE
FUE with sapphire blades for the tiny channels, which can mean finer incisions and faster healing.
Beard and eyebrows
The same techniques used to fill a patchy beard, moustache or thin eyebrows.
The surgeon decides the technique and how many grafts you need after reviewing your photos; many patients need 3,000–4,000 grafts. For the analysis, send clear photos of the front, top, crown and both sides.
Your 3 days in Istanbul

Flying home
You usually fly home on day 3, right after your check-up and first wash at the clinic. Wear a loose cap, and avoid bumping your head on the overhead bin. The doctor always has the final word on when you can fly.
Questions people ask
Does it hurt?
The procedure is done under local anesthesia. Most people feel the numbing injections and little after that; the clinic gives you pain relief for the first days.
Is the price per graft?
Your written quote says exactly what’s included and whether the price is fixed or depends on the graft count, before you book.
How many grafts will I need?
It depends on your hair loss and donor area. The free hair analysis gives you an estimate.
Will I need a second session?
Sometimes. If the thinning area is large, the surgeon may cover the hairline and mid-scalp in one session and recommend a second one for the crown. Your hair analysis will tell you before you book.

When can I go back to work?
Office work is usually fine after about a week. Avoid heavy exercise and swimming for about a month.
