What’s included in your trip is listed item by item in your written quote. Flights are not part of the treatment packages; A-1 books them for you and prices them separately.
Travel safely
- Choose accredited hospitals and ask for your doctor’s name and credentials. We’ll get both for you before you book.
- Talk to your own doctor first, bring your reports home in English, and arrange someone at home who can see you after you return.
- Give your body time before flying. US plastic surgeons suggest waiting 7–10 days after face, eyelid or nose surgery and about 10 days after chest or abdominal surgery. The hospital confirms when it’s safe.
- Plan for the unexpected. Most US health insurance doesn’t cover treatment abroad; ask us about travel insurance that covers medical travel and medical evacuation, and agree in advance what happens if there’s a complication.

Is A-1 a clinic?
No. A-1 is an IATA and ARC accredited travel agency in Richardson, Texas. We arrange your trip; accredited hospitals in Istanbul carry out treatment.
How much does it cost?
See the “from” prices above. Your exact price depends on the treatment and comes in writing after the free second opinion, before you book anything.
Is the second opinion really free?
Yes. There’s no cost and no obligation to book.
How long will I be in Istanbul?
It depends on the treatment: often 3–5 days for hair, dental or eye treatment and 7–14 days for surgery. Your plan tells you how long.
Do I need a visa for Turkey?
U.S. citizens can visit Turkey for up to 90 days without a visa. Your passport needs at least 6 months’ validity beyond arrival and a blank page. Other passports have different rules; we’ll check yours when we book.
Can someone come with me?
Yes, and we recommend it for surgery. We book their flights and hotel too.
What if I need care after I get home?
You’ll have reports in English for your own doctor, and the hospital does video follow-ups after you return.
