- Flights from the US: booked by A-1, priced separately
From $1,500 is a starting price for treatment. The package above is a typical example; your exact price, treatment and what’s included are confirmed in writing after the review, before you book anything. Flights are not included in the package; A-1 books them for you and quotes them separately.
Flying home
Flying is usually fine after the next-day check. Use your eye drops on the flight; the cabin air is dry. The doctor always has the final word on when you can fly.
Questions people ask
Am I suitable for laser?
It depends on your prescription and corneal thickness, measured in the eye tests.
Does it hurt?
Numbing drops are used. Most people feel pressure rather than pain.
Will I still need glasses?
Most laser patients don’t for distance; reading glasses may still be needed with age.
Can I travel alone?
We recommend a companion for cataract surgery. We’ll book their flights and hotel too.
Is A-1 the clinic?
No. A-1 is a travel agency in Richardson, Texas. We arrange your trip; accredited hospitals and clinics in Istanbul carry out treatment, and their doctors decide what’s right for you.
